CROSS TRADE

Cross Trade

Overseas to overseas.
We arrange the containers, without routing through Japan.

Even when both the load port and the discharge port are outside Japan, we secure the space and the boxes. Your contract and payment sit with us in Japan while the cargo sails direct — removing an entire ocean leg and the handling time in between.

How cross trade works

The cargo goes straight from one overseas port to another; the contract and the arrangements stay with us

Booking & documents Booking & documents Cargo sails direct — never touching Japan 🇯🇵 Japan Contract, booking, payment 📦 Load port (overseas) e.g. China, Southeast Asia 🏭 Discharge port (overseas) e.g. Central Asia, Africa

Feasibility varies by lane and cargo. Tell us the load and discharge ports and we will check.

CONTAINER

We can secure containers
on overseas-to-overseas lanes

The lanes where you have no presence on the ground are exactly the ones to bring to us. Carrier negotiation, vessel space and the boxes themselves are all arranged from Japan.

01

Space on the vessel

We pick a carrier strong on the lane and hold space and rate, with a read on peak-season availability.

02

COC or SOC

Carrier boxes as standard — and where returning them is impractical, a shipper’s owned container instead.

03

Documents included

We prepare and present the shipping documents.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which lanes do you cover?

Send us the load and discharge ports and we will check. It depends on carrier coverage and the cargo, so we do not publish a fixed lane list.

Can you help if we have no presence at origin?

Yes. Carrier negotiation, the origin agent and the paperwork are all handled from our side — you do not need to deal with anyone locally.

Are there lanes where containers cannot be secured?

Where a carrier does not place its own boxes at the discharge port, a normal COC booking can be difficult. A shipper’s owned container is the alternative we would propose.

Can we pay in Japanese yen?

Yes. The contract sits with us in Japan and can be settled in yen, with no payment handling needed at origin.

Tell us the load and discharge ports

We will come back with feasibility, an indicative cost, and how the containers would be arranged (COC or SOC).
